Sara obtained her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2007, after which she practiced as a private practitioner in Canada. In 2010, she relocated to the United States and has since continued her career as a school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP), supporting students across various settings and grade levels. She is a board certified Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in the State of Virginia and certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) where she currently holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Her extensive experience in school settings has equipped her to work with a variety of speech-language impairments while staying current with evolving therapeutic practices. She values a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with other professionals across academic settings, and believes that parental involvement is crucial to a child’s progress.

She celebrates the small victories achieved in therapy, and her motto is “progress, not perfection.” This philosophy is reflected in the name of her practice, “Small Talk,” which emphasizes that small steps can lead to significant impacts.

Sara resides in Loudoun County, Virginia, with her husband, two children, and their cat. She enjoys cooking, hiking, shopping, and spending quality time with family and friends. Born in Canada and of Iranian heritage, she is fluent in both English and Farsi (Iranian/Persian dialect). Being bilingual enables her to appreciate and navigate cultural diversity and differences more effectively.
